Hashkama: War Games

And you will be hearing of wars and rumours of wars. See that you are not alarmed, for those things must take place, but that is not yet the end – (Matthew 24:6).

Just when you think things are going to settle down again, Putin rises up.  An expert has said that Putin’s arsenal of nuclear weapons could obliterate nine UK miliary bases within just twenty-minutes; there’s a comforting thought!  People are recovering somewhat from the fear of Covid, now the nations are put under stress by the possibility of a war in Europe.  Vladimir Putin, a 21st Century tyrant, has now annexed parts of Ukraine, a tactic he used in 2008 when he sparked a war in Georgia.  Georgia was also seeking to join NATO at the time.  It is also similar to Hitler’s (another expansionist) Sudetenland ruse for invading Czechoslovakia prior to the outbreak of WWII.  He demanded self-determination for all German-speaking people in the Sudetenland, while claiming they should no longer be part of Czechoslovakia and Austria (there is nothing new under the sun – Ecclesiastes 1:9).  In 2014 Putin’s Russia invaded and subsequently annexed the Crimean Peninsula from Ukraine.  Putin has signed a decree recognising Ukraine’s eastern regions of Donetsk and Lugansk.  Within hours of the signing large columns of Russian troops were seen moving through Donetsk.  It is at a time when the USA citizens had voted into the Presidency an aged and demented man that can’t run a press conference let alone a nation.  In Britain we have suffered under a Prime Minister that has caused great confusion by his lack of organisation, in office as well as in his personal life.  The impression we are being given from the opposition party as well as the party in office, is the impression that God has got of us as a nation and people.  We judge ourselves when we admit that Boris is the best choice of leader that we have at this time.  The nation has been in a great state of confusion during the last few years in particular.  The confusion is a sign of judgment for national ungodliness – “The best of them is like a thorn bush, the most upright like a thorn hedge. The day when you post your watchmen, your punishment is coming. Then their confusion will occur” (Micah 7:4).  It was confusion that struck in Babylon and the people that had been united were scattered throughout the earth (Genesis 11).  Battered Britain is suffering yet again.  This time the weather has contributed, by blowing us from pillar to post.  It is as if God has come down (Genesis 11:7).  He might not have come to confuse our language (human-kind is doing that themselves), but there is certainly a great sense of confusion everywhere.  Even the weather forecast has been turned into project fear, and has been used to cause a new lockdown with stay-at-home advice, and that we will die if we don’t.  There was a shaking of another kind as a 2.8 magnitude earthquake hit parts of the Black Country – Walsall, West Bromwich, Tipton as well as Birmingham on Monday 21st February.  The wake up! calls are becoming more diverse and are increasing in frequency.

It’s in the Pipeline

Germany has made itself impotent to do anything of consequence about the situation in Ukraine, because of its reliance upon gas from Russia; but has now withdrawn a key document needed for certification of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline being completed.  That blow to Russia has since been softened by China signing a 30-year deal for Russia to supply gas to China through a new pipeline.  Europe as a whole appeared to be leaving the Russia/Ukraine conundrum for someone else to work out and sort out, but is now united with Britain and America in applying sanctions against Russia, as they prepared to war against Ukraine.  The putrid smell pervading the political atmosphere is toxic.  It smells of ‘One World’.  A young Ukrainian MP said that if the USA was serious about preventing war, they would have put their troops in Ukraine.  He has a point, but is it the correct one?  We shall never know.  I have mentioned before about the fear factor in world politics.  Fear is weaponised to keep us in check.  There has been something of a fight-back against lock-downs and enforced vaccinations, particularly in Canada; so now we have the threat of war; a war that could escalate across Europe, Australasia and America.  Russia and China, the great communist powers, are like sweethearts holding hands.  British experts talk about the senseless loss of life to soldiers as well as civilians.  Communism doesn’t care about such matters as human life and suffering.  I have read that the Ukraine situation is all about Israel.  “It is ‘always’ about Israel” claimed the writer.  Israel is a great focus at the end of the age, and is now making preparation to receive 75,000 Ukrainian immigrants making Aliyah to their biblical homeland.  Many made Aliyah from Eastern Ukraine in 2021.  Israel’s response to Ukraine is cautious since they have to be wary of ruffling Russia’s feathers.  Israel have Syria and Iran to cope with and they don’t want Russian interference.  Israel has stated its concern over the steps in eastern Ukraine, and stands ready to mobilize if asked to do so.  Israel is prepared to provide Ukraine with immediate humanitarian assistance in accordance with the needs that arise.  However, I would still suggest that this situation and others that will arise, is really ‘all about Jesus’.  There was a report recently that China was producing its own version of the Bible, portraying Jesus as a sinner.  The Person of Jesus is under attack.  It is Jesus that must be displaced and replaced.  The Chinese government is a vicious tyrannical regime that has ambitions of ruling the world.  Its influence stretches into most nations of the world including Great Britain.  It is affecting our business world, finance, education, security, health and politics.  We are, whether we realise it or not, fighting for our very way of life.  We are in danger of being engulfed by those that hate God, and hate freedom and democracy.  The seeds have been sown in the Western nations.  Concerning our Russian friends, Russia was like a snake, poised ready to strike its prey.  Now we know that the snake has in fact struck, and Russia has invaded Ukraine.  Will Putin be satisfied with annexing more of Ukraine, or will he go the whole hog.  No-one knows.

Canada

Justin Trudeau is behaving like a tyrant, turning against his own law-abiding people.  Banks and various financial institutions are legally required to monitor for “dissidents”.  They are to freeze their assets if they “suspect” someone has participated in dissident activities.  They also have to report back to the RCMP or the Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) the account details of “potential dissidents.”  Dissidents appear to be those that oppose Trudeau.  The government reportedly already tap and track 33 million Canadians phones to surveil compliance.  Watch this behaviour as it gradually creeps its way around what were free, democratic nations.  The Davos Agenda 2021 is the World Economic Forum.  It is a global movement of unelected leaders from the public and private sector.  These “angels of light” have a vision to improve 1 billion lives globally through affordable and accessible digital solutions in health, finance, and education by 2025.  That is only three years away.  Eventually they will control lives through technology.  When these things begin to happen to believers so that they are rejected from society on a worldwide scale, we will know that the writing is on the wall for this world.  The world might not be eating and drinking from God’s holy vessels, but they will be touching, persecuting, and profaning God’s holy people (Daniel 5:25-27).  We see it now in its simplest form by what Canada is doing by closing down personal bank accounts.  Should there be war, it will speed up the process of erosion.  While Trudeau has since rescinded the “Emergency Act” he has done so with a proviso – leaving open the possibility that authorities may again crack down on “protesters”, promising to surveil anti-mandate activities.

“Hear, you peoples, all of you; listen carefully, earth and all it contains, and may the Lord GOD be a witness against you, the Lord from His holy temple” (Micah 1:2)

Micah continues his word with: “For the Lord is about to come out [reminiscent of Babylon, Genesis 11:7] from His place, and go down and tread on earth’s high places…” (Micah 1:3).  The verses in Micah speak of a global upheaval.  Earths offences are so grave that they will trigger a cataclysm that will affect the whole earth.  UK Foreign Secretary Liz Truss’ assessment of Putin was accurate when  a few days ago she announced that: An invasion of Ukraine by Russia is “imminent and highly likely”.  President Putin was saying that it is rubbish, Russia is not going to invade anyone; and that the West is trying to provoke a war – this while Russia has surrounded Ukraine with 60 percent of its land forces and weapons of war – “For evil their hands are skilled… The great one speaks the disaster he wants, and they pervert it for him” (Micah 7:3)…and so it is.  Putin’s rhetoric has changed and his tactics are becoming more obvious.  Russia’s moves are to be seen as a show of strength, but is it really revealing the weakness and fragility of the Russian mentality?  A nation that is fuelled on fear is a nation that is in fear.  With the show of strength is an underlying fear of failure.  Russia could win the battle but lose the war, and much more besides.  A weakened Russia could fall prey to a watching partner-in-crime sitting on its borders.  There is no honour among thieves.  The love-match with the inscrutable communist China could become more fragile than rice-paper.  So, there could be more to the eye than the partnering first shows.  The world is uniting.  The West has shown little interest in China persecuting, torturing, enslaving, and killing certain of its citizens.  I said before that it is because the West is sympathetic towards China’s activities.  The East and the West are seeing eye-to-eye on the One World agenda; it is just a matter of working out the strategy of how to get there – hence the various flexing of muscles and sabre rattling.  Fear is a factor, fear is contagious.  Rumours of wars are themselves a weapon to create fear.  Interestingly, the voices of those that normally have so much advice to give, particularly when things are not going the One World Way, remain conspicuously silent.  What does that suggest?

The enemy within

We have considered what might be thought of as enemies without; perhaps we should also concentrate on the enemies within.  Each nation has them.  Some nations might consider drought and famine to be enemies within their borders.  Others will perhaps perceive ideologies, injustice and lawlessness to be enemies.  A report states that in Globalist France the enemy of the State is the people of France.  It describes the French flag in the hands of a Frenchman, especially on the Champs-Ѐlysées is regarded as a defiant object, resulting in a fine of 130 euros.  One 70-year-old woman had her flag snatched, crumpled up, and thrown away, while her documents were demanded.  The report claims that there were armoured personnel carriers, citizens were beaten, and there was a heavy use of tear gas.  There was much less concern when Algerian fans with Algerian flags rampaged on the same site, smashing windows and cars.  The claim is, that police violence is never used in Islamic neighbourhoods, it is only used against the peaceful French people.

A quote from a speech by JFK was sent to me.  Is has been doing the rounds with a suggestion that it speaks of the New World Order.  Kennedy was speaking into his own time and the effect of Communism; he was not speaking of what is happening today.  But… it is a reminder that there are subversive influences and powers at work in our time.  It might be a useful exercise to write a list of what you consider to be the enemies within the borders of your nation.  Here is the Kennedy quote:

“For we are opposed around the world by a monolithic and ruthless conspiracy that relies primarily on covert means for expanding its sphere of influence – on infiltration instead of invasion, on subversion instead of elections, on intimidation instead of free choice, on guerrillas by night instead of armies by day. It is a system which has conscripted vast human and material resources into the building of a tightly knit, highly efficient machine that combines military, diplomatic, intelligence, economic, scientific and political operations. Its preparations are concealed, not published. Its mistakes are buried, not headlined. Its dissenters are silenced, not praised. No expenditure is questioned, no rumor is printed, no secret is revealed. It conducts the Cold War, in short, with a war-time discipline no democracy would ever hope or wish to match.” ― John F. Kennedy.

There are a number of lessons for us to consider from the Book of Micah.  His prophecy was uttered in the 8th Century BC, when the word of God had been abandoned in favour of the grossly licentious Baal worship.  It speaks of sins against humans and sins against God.  The message states that judgment will come.  Blessings will follow judgment; and blessings will surpass judgment.  Believers today are awaiting the return of Messiah.

The end of all things is near; therefore, be of sound judgment and sober spirit for the purpose of prayer (1 Peter 4:7).

Blessings and shalom
