Following on from our last meeting and the direction we received from the Lord I thought it might be appropriate to start this year with a mini series entitled ‘Equipped for Battle – Learning the art of warfare’.

Perhaps we could begin with a session called ‘A mind for war?’ for this Monday night’s meeting where we consider questions along the lines of:

• We often talk about being locked in a battle but what does this actually mean?
• Who is our enemy and what is his strategy?
• Do we live in battle-conscious mode?
• What are the rules of engagement?
• How can we survive this war?
• What pitfalls should we avoid as there are many different ideas about spiritual warfare?

The first session is mostly about achieving the right biblical mindset towards warfare so that we are properly motivated to look at the weapons and strategies for victory in future sessions and also avoid some of the more extreme views that are out there.
