In secret<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\nJOHN 3:1-21<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\nThe most telling feature of Jesus\u2019 interaction with Nicodemus for me was a matter of time and place, rather than of content. The fact is that this prominent Pharisee and member of the Sanhedrin took the time to seek out this maverick Rabbi and met with him in secret. Why would that be? <\/em>Because he got it<\/em>, he recognised Jesus\u2019 authority and \u2026 as a result \u2026 this would put him in danger with his peers.<\/p>\n\n\n\nThis is worth thinking about for us too. We must choose our moments when we speak of Jesus to others. Sometimes this needs to be in private, for example when speaking to an orthodox Jew or Muslim, as interest in Jesus is very much a \u2018no-go area\u2019 for these folk. Also, in our current poisonous culture, speaking openly of Jesus can have a detrimental effect on you too. Be wise.
